ABOUT ME
My name is Nadia Monsengo and I am a civil engineer with a strong interest in sustainable and future-proof buildings. I grew up in Zoetermeer and have always been creative.
My background sparked my interest in the built environment. The application of buildings and cities in the country where I come from. How they are designed, how they are built, and how they function in everyday life.
My educational journey began at level 4 vocational education, Graphic Arts College, where I developed a creative and visual foundation. This background has helped me to present designs and ideas in a way that is not only technically sound, but also visually compelling. After graduating from the Grafisch Lyceum, I went on to study Architecture at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, where I focused on construction technology, sustainability, and building analysis. I am currently continuing my studies at NCOI to complete my degree.
During my studies, I worked on various projects, ranging from making existing homes more sustainable to the technical development of new construction projects. This gave me experience in areas such as BIM modeling (Revit), structural analyses, energy performance, and technical specifications for buildings.
What motivates me most within the construction sector is developing sustainable solutions for the future. I believe that good architecture should not only be technically sound, but should also contribute to a comfortable, energy-efficient, and future-proof living environment.

Currently pursuing a University of Applied Sciences on the design, technical development, and construction of buildings and built environments. The program combines architectural design principles with practical engineering knowledge, including building materials, structural concepts, and technical drawing.
Through my studies I have developed skills in technical drafting, construction detailing, CAD software, spatial design, and project-based problem solving. I regularly work on design assignments that involve creating building plans, 3D models, and construction drawings while considering functionality, sustainability, and building regulations.

Graphic Design at a vocational college in Rotterdam
Vocational Education – Graphic Design
Completed a vocational program in Graphic Design focused on visual communication, digital design, and creative problem-solving. The curriculum combined design theory with hands-on projects, covering branding, layout, typography, and digital media production.
During the program I developed strong skills in visual design, typography, layout composition, and digital illustration, working on projects such as brand identities, posters, and marketing materials. I gained experience using industry-standard tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, while learning how to translate concepts into clear visual communication.
